Digifarms Africa: How Bruno is Transforming African Farming

Happy Wednesday, Triblings

Long before modern technology arrived, agriculture was the heartbeat of African life. Our forefathers tilled the land, exported cocoa to Europe, and helped make Africa one of the top producers of rubber and cassava. Farming was more than work, it was survival, trade, and community. And all of this happened long before GMOs were ever introduced.

Today, that story is evolving. We’re spotlighting an African who is reshaping agriculture in a positive way, building Digifarms Africa to help farmers grow, connect, and thrive.

And that’s not all, we’ll also dive into this week’s TAFRO Quizlet. So, if you’re ready to test your knowledge and explore Africa in a fun way, let’s get right into it!

TAFRO Feature – African Trailblazer: Che Azenyui Bruno

Che Azenyui Bruno is a Cameroonian entrepreneur and founder of Digifarms Africa, a venture transforming agriculture into a profitable and sustainable sector for African farmers.

Bruno first trained as a journalist and worked in media and public relations. In 2019, he decided to focus fully on business. Growing up in Ndop, he had seen small farmers struggle to sell their crops and lose a lot after harvest. Wanting to change this, he used his love for technology and his farming background to start Digifarms Africa.

Today, Digifarms helps farmers find buyers, grows and processes crops like maize and cassava, and connects people across the farming industry. For Bruno, farming is not just business, it’s a way to help African farmers grow from small-scale to large-scale success.

Africa has fertile land, talented people, and many opportunities,” he says. “If we invest in our people and ideas, Africa can help solve global problems like food shortages and lead in innovation.”
