How an African MC Raised Over $9.1 Million With His Voice

Happy Wednesday, Triblings

This week, we’re shining a light on Nde, an engineer who turned his love for people into a career as a Master of Ceremonies.

We’re also bringing to your screen Fire of Greed, a book inspired by African tradition that explores timeless life lessons on greed, lessons that remain just as relevant today.

Let’s get into the stories!

TAFRO Feature – African Trailblazer: Nde Nkimbeng

Nde Nkimbeng is an MC from Cameroon who uses the microphone to do more than just entertain.

He started as an engineer but found a gift for hosting events. Over time, he built his style, mixing his engineering mindset with his love for people. That’s how he became known as The Engineer MC.

Nde has hosted weddings, conferences, and big corporate events across Africa. At one corporate event, he helped raise over $9.1 million in funding. For him, being an MC is not just about music and jokes; it’s about connecting people and inspiring action.

He believes hosting is leadership: In his words, It’s about creating moments that live after the lights go off. I want every event I touch to have meaning.”

He is proud of his African roots, especially the rich culture and community spirit he grew up with in Cameroon. “Africa taught me rhythm, respect, and resilience,” he says. “That’s what I bring to every stage I stand on.”
